Donatella Montini is Full Professor of English Language and Translation at Sapienza Università di Roma, where she teaches history of English and stylistics. She is Editor in Chief of online Memoria di Shakespeare. A Journal of Shakespearean Studies. She has published extensively on Queen Elizabeth I’s political speeches, early modern English language teaching and translation. She has co-edited a book on Elizabeth I in Writing. Language, Power and Representation in Early Modern England (2018), and a book on The Dialects of British English in Fictional Texts (2021). She is currently writing Contemporary Perspectives on John Florio: Biographia Linguistica, forthcoming from Routledge.
